An inflatable arch solves one precise problem: making a point recognisable in an open space, whether that is the start of a run, the entrance to a fair or the finish line of a race. It goes up in a few minutes and comes down even faster, but it has two constraints worth knowing before you book. The first is electricity: the fan stays on the whole time, so you need a socket within reach or a generator. The second is the anchoring: on tarmac you need weights, on grass you can use pegs. Does it need power the whole time?
Yes, the fan has to stay on: if it goes off the arch collapses in under a minute. You need a socket reachable with an extension lead, or a generator. Tell us where you are setting it up and we will work out together whether the nearest socket is enough or whether it is worth adding a generator.
How is it fixed to the ground?
On grass you use pegs, on tarmac or paving you need weights resting on the bases. Wind is the variable that really counts: on a windy day an arch with too little ballast leans over and needs watching. Tell us the ground you are putting it up on and we will prepare the right anchoring.
How long is needed to put it up?
Inflating takes a few minutes, but the full setup includes positioning, anchoring and running the cable, and it is worth allowing half an hour with two people. Taking it down is quicker, as long as there is room to spread it out and fold it without dragging it over gravel.
Can it be personalised with a logo?
The arch we hire out is the standard version, with no custom printing. If you need your brand clearly visible, the usual solution is to fit a separate banner across the span or on the legs. Message us with what you have in mind and we will see whether it works with the model available.
