Does it work in stony ground?
It is the main limitation: on stones the tip jams and has to be freed, and in very stony ground the advantage over a spade shrinks considerably. Tell us what ground you have, even roughly, and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense or not.
Does it take one person or two?
On soft ground a one person model is manageable alone. On compacted ground the two person version is clearly better, because when the tip catches the machine tends to spin and two people control it far better. Tell us the ground and we will point you to the right one.
What diameters are available?
You choose the diameter from what has to go into the hole, a post or a root ball, adding the margin for backfilling. So the useful question is what you are putting in. Send us that along with the depth and we will check what we can prepare for your dates.
How do I know what is underneath?
